The Two Greatest Bible Secrets Finally Exposed?
In a roundabout way, we the elect of God will finally have an opportunity to understand two bible truths that the Devil has attempted to keep secret for thousands of years. The key to unlocking these mysteries is found in a well known bible verse, 1 Timothy 6:10a. “For the love of money is the root of all evil…”
I would like to start off by asking you, the reader, a few questions: 1) What was the sin that Adam or Eve committed in the Garden of Eden? What ever your answer, I would bet that it had nothing to do with, “The love of money”; 2) Other than prostitution, what do sexual sins have to do with, the love of money”? 3) What were the sins of the, “children of Israel” that caused them to be vanquished to the desert for 40 years? One more. What does blasphemy or unbelief have to do with, “the love of money”? Not much, you should say! Yet our study verse says that, “the love of money is the root of ALL evil.” Please be careful to note the underlined word, “ALL”. The love of money is the root of ALL evil. There are clearly evils that have nothing to do with the “love of money”. So much so is this a problem, that some translations have rendered this verse to read, the love of money is the root of all “kinds” of evil. It is now possible to have exceptions for this verse with this thoughtful retranslation. I would like to share with you, the reader, why God doesn’t need our help, and most importantly, why all scripture is inspired by God, whether we understand it or not. Let’s have a look …
(1Tim. 6:10)
(The truth that the Devil doesn’t want you to know)
Brethren, let us consider this verse! Is the love of money or as we understand it, ‘the worship’ of money, the root of all evil for human beings? I say, “Well, let’s see!” This verse says that “the love of money is the root of ALL evil.” Do we correctly understand this verse?
An obvious place to begin would be to look at each word of our verse and its original Greek meaning , “Love of Money is The Root of All Evil.”
Love (5365 Greek) philarguria; avarice; – the love of money. Used once in the O.T.
Money (5365 Greek) philarguria; avarice; – the love of money. Used once in the O.T.
Root (4491 Greek) rhiza; root; – part of a plant that is underground, the thing from which other things grow and develop; to become fixed firmly.
All (3956 Greek) pas; every; – the whole, all manner of.
Evil (2556 Greek) kak s; wicked; – bad, depraved.
(Reference: Strongs Exhaustive Concordance, Thorndike Barnhart Comprehensive Desk Dictionary)Piecing together a possible translation of the original Greek text one might say that what we have is a powerful and unique love of money which gave root or developed a foundation or produced all manner of wickedness. This is still a little vague, but let’s see if the Old Testament can help us out a little more. Let’s look at the Old Testament Book of Ezekiel, Chapter 28. Chapter 28, Verse 15, tells us that Lucifer, God’s anointed cherub, was perfect until inequity or sin was found in him. What was that sin?
Verses 16 through 18 says:
16 “By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.”
17 “Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou has corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.”
18 “Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.”
Look at these verses…
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
(What was that iniquity? The very next verse answers the question) ( BTW, this is the verse that practically the whole world just skips over. Why? )
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Verse 16 says, “by the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence and thou hast sinned.” Verse 18 says, “Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic.” It should be quite clear that the terms, “merchandise and traffic,” were the cause of Lucifer’s downfall. “By the multitude of the merchandise… and by the iniquity of the traffic, thou hast sinned.” There is no mention of sin or iniquity in verse 17. Once again, let us look at the meaning of these two words in the original Hebrew;
“Merchandise and Traffic.”
Verse 16 – Merchandise (7404 Hebrew) rekullah; trade, traffic, goods for sale, buy and sell wares. Since the original Hebrew word for “merchandise” means trade or traffic, one would assume that the word traffic in verse 18 would be the same Hebrew word as verse 16, and of course it is.
Verse 18 – Traffic (7404 Hebrew) rekullah; trade, traffic, merchandise, buying and selling.
Please notice something very, very important in our two verses in Ezekiel. In Verse 16 we see the word “sin” and in Verse 18 we see the words “iniquities and iniquity”. ( These verses below are key to the traditional way of thinking that PRIDE was the reason for the expulsion of Lucifer ).
Now go back to the Old Testament book of Isaiah, Chapter 14, Verses 12 through 20. Please take careful notice of the two words that are not mentioned here! It says:
12 “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wickedness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under feet.
20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.”
The five infamous proud “I wills” of Lucifer mentioned in Verses 13 and 14 are often preached as the reason Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven. But unlike Ezekiel, we do not find the words “sin or iniquity” mentioned. And for good reason! The sins of merchandise and traffic already mentioned in Ezekiel, Chapter 28, are without a doubt, the reason Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven. “…Therefore will I cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God…” (Ezek. 28:16) What we have in Isaiah, Chapter 14 is Lucifer or (Satan) contemplating his return to Heaven. “I will!” Notice the word “ascend” in verses 13 and 14. How does one ascend to a place where they are already? Satan is already ousted from Heaven in these verses and is making plans once again to come back and take over. The five “I wills” are military plans for a coup attempt against God in Heaven, NOT PROUD STATEMENTS!. That is why the words “sin and iniquity” are not mentioned here. Satan’s sins have already taken place, “merchandise and traffic.” In Verse 15 “thou shalt be brought down to hell” simply refers to casting Satan even a little lower then he is already from Heaven to Earth to Hell.
By the way, we can find the actual coup or take-over attempt by Satan in the Book of Revelations, Chapter 12 Verses 7 and 8. “And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Now, is the love of money the root of all evil? Well; yes and no! No, It is not the root of all evil for human beings. Yes, it is the root or the beginning or where all evil started or originated from! Lucifer, who was perfect, sinned by his love of things, his love of merchandise and his love of stuff, and therefore this is where all evil began. Satan’s love for money or “merchandise” is the root (beginning) of all evil! Not ours!
So the “Love of money IS the root of all evil. Again, not our love; but, Lucifer’s love of money (stuff). (the root of all evil)
Will Satan’s thirst for merchandise ever be realized? If the Devil was to have a free reign on earth without any hindrance, what would he do? What would be his goal? Well, just read along with me in the Book of Revelation, Chapter 18, starting with Verse 12: The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, and cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. Verse 16, Alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! And not only has Satan finally acquired as much merchandise and stuff as he could; but notice the cute little system he has set up to protect it. “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” (Rev. 13:17) Otherwise, known as, “666.”
Satan, who was cast down to earth and possessed the body of the Antichrist and who is given free reign over the earth for a limited time, has finally managed to do what he has wanted to do since his earlier days in Heaven. The Devil has acquired as much, “stuff” (merchandise) as any person here on earth; (except for Amelia Marcos and Bill Gates ) or any person who also would be filled with the “love of money.” Which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith”
(1 Tim. 6:10b)
In closing, what are the two secrets? Number one: Satan’s love for money (merchandise), is the root (the beginning) of all evil (where evil began). The origin of evil can be found in Ezekiel 28:16 Satan’s love of money is the beginning of all evil. Not ours! ” Mommy, where did Evil come from if God is so Good? Right here sweety, this is where it all started!
And number two: It was not pride that got Satan kicked out of heaven, it was covetousness. He wanted everything! The infamous five “I wills” are not prideful statements; but military plans for a coup attempt to take over heaven. Yes, but, isn’t pride the same thing? No It Is Not. Covetousness is wanting something that you do not have. With Pride, you already have it. They are not the same!
You’re probably saying to yourself,” self, where and how is there money and stuff in Heaven”? (Merchandise, traffic) Good question. Unfortunately, we are not privy to this information. The closest I have heard anyone get to this question was Adrian Rogers. He compared this situation to a corrupt Politician. Giving away lucrative deals for their loyalty or their vote. And it looks like Satan was able to entice at least one third of all of the Angels. Perhaps this was his MO.
And by the way, the King James Bible got it right the first time. “The love of money is the root of all evil” It’s just not our love that the bible is referring to.
One last thought. What if we were to ask ourselves.. What is the root of all evil? Seems like we almost 100% of the time recite the first part of the verse with emphasis. Let’s try to emphasize the second part of the verse. What if we say, “What is the root of all evil? ” We can now take the first part of the verse and say, “the love of money” So.. How about this? The ROOT of ALL Evil is the love of money. (Becomes a little more clearer when we do this. Don’t you think? (forgive me for changing God’s Word just for a second or so)
